Aisys Task Template Sync

How it works

You improve a process, and the template gets the new version. The jobs already running through the pipeline are still on the old one. Copying the change into each of them by hand is the job nobody gets round to. Aisys does it for you.

Report first, then approve

Nothing changes until your manager has seen the report and approved it. The diagram below is the whole thing.

IN ASANA your task template and its live tasks ON YOUR AISYS HUB where your manager reads and approves 1 YOU Add the Sync Pipeline Tasks tag To your task template, not a live task 2 AISYS Compares the template and live tasks Nothing changes yet 3 AISYS Puts the report on your hub What would change, and what to fix first 4 AISYS Comments with a link to the report On your template, mentioning your manager 5 YOUR MANAGER Fixes anything listed, then confirms Or refreshes the report after a fix 6 YOUR MANAGER Types Approved and syncs With the Sync Pipeline Tasks button 7 AISYS Updates every live task Then comments with what changed

What gets updated

Only what changed in the template since the last update reaches the live tasks:

A live task that is already finished, or sits in a column Aisys doesn't update, is left as it is. Aisys's comment after the update counts both, so nothing is skipped without you knowing.

If something changes in between

When your manager approves, Aisys checks the pipeline again first. If anything the report would change is different by then, nothing changes. Your manager gets a fresh report to check instead.
