What Aisys needs from you
Less than you would expect. There is no minimum standard a task has to reach before it can be tagged, and nothing you need to prepare first.
If something is missing, Aisys asks you for it rather than refusing to start.
Three ways people hand work over
In practice everyone falls into one of these, and all three work:
- 1You know exactly how it is done. You have the steps, or you can rattle them off. Aisys keeps your process as it is and fills in the things around it you did not think to mention — what the finished thing should look like, what access is needed, what usually goes wrong.
- 2You know what you want, not how it gets done. You can describe the outcome and what good looks like, but the how is up to whoever does it. Aisys focuses on making the deliverables unmistakable and suggests the steps.
- 3Somewhere in between. Rough notes, a few steps, a general idea. Aisys takes what you have and asks about the rest.
You never have to pick one of these, or tell Aisys which you are doing. It works it out from what you give it.
The one thing worth knowing: the more you put in up front, the closer the first draft lands. A tag on a bare task still produces a manual — it just takes a few more questions to get there.
